# Account & Profile

As an admin user, you can manage your own account - from personal data and password to individual settings like Dark Mode and language.

## Edit Profile

Under **Profile**, you can change your personal data:

- **First Name and Last Name** - How you are displayed in the system and in emails
- **Email Address** - Your login email (also used for notifications)
- **Phone Number** - Optional contact number
- **Profile Picture** - An avatar displayed next to your name

> **Note:** Changes to the email address may require re-confirmation via email.

## Account Settings

Under account settings, you can customize your personal preferences:

### Dark Mode

Enable or disable Dark Mode for the admin interface:

- **Light** (Default) - Light background, dark text
- **Dark** - Dark background, light text - easy on the eyes during prolonged work

Dark Mode only changes your personal view and does not affect the appearance of the shop for customers.

### Language

Choose the language for the admin interface:

- **German** (Default)
- **English**
- **French**
- **Spanish**

The language selection only affects the admin interface, not the shop for end customers.

### Price Display

Define how prices are displayed in the admin interface:

- **Gross** - Prices including VAT
- **Net** - Prices excluding VAT

## Change Password

To change your password:

1. Open your **Profile** or **Account Settings**
2. Click on **Change Password**
3. Enter your **current password**
4. Enter the **new password** and confirm it
5. Click on **Save**

> **Tip:** Use a strong password with at least 8 characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

## Account Overview

The account overview shows you:

- Your current role and permissions
- Assigned branch and department (if applicable)
- Recently edited areas
