## Top Products by Sales Quantity

The ranking by sales quantity shows you which products are ordered most frequently. For each product, you will see:

- **Rank** - Position in the ranking
- **Product Name** - Name and, if applicable, variant of the product
- **Quantity Sold** - Total number of units sold in the selected period
- **Share of Total Sales** - Percentage share of all units sold
- **Trend** - Up or down arrow shows the change compared to the previous period

### Why Quantities Are Important

The pure sales quantity is an important indicator for:

- **Popularity** - Which products are most in demand?
- **Inventory Planning** - How much stock do you need to keep?
- **Reorders** - Which items should you prioritize for reordering?
- **Product Placement** - Which products should be prominently displayed in the shop?

## Top Products by Revenue

In parallel to quantity, you can also sort the ranking by revenue generated. This is particularly important because a product with few sales but a high price can contribute more to total revenue than an inexpensive product with many sales.

For each product, you will see:

- **Rank** - Position in the revenue ranking
- **Product Name** - Name and, if applicable, variant
- **Revenue Generated** - Total revenue in the selected period (gross)
- **Share of Total Revenue** - Percentage share of total shop revenue
- **Average Selling Price** - Average price per unit sold
- **Trend** - Change compared to the previous period

### Revenue vs. Quantity

It can be insightful to look at both rankings side-by-side:

| Situation | Meaning | Possible Action |
|---|---|---|
| High in Quantity AND Revenue | Absolute Top Sellers | Secure stock, place prominently |
| High in Quantity, low in Revenue | Inexpensive impulse items | Check if price increase is possible |
| Low in Quantity, high in Revenue | High-priced niche products | Promote specifically, emphasize exclusivity |
| Low in Quantity AND Revenue | Shelf warmers | Reconsider assortment, possibly remove from shop |
