Analytics
Analyze visitor data and key figures of your Corporate Shop - Traffic, conversions, product performance, and customer engagement
Analytics
The Analytics section of your Corporate Shop provides valuable insights into your visitors' behavior and your shop's performance. Understand where your visitors come from, which products are most popular, and how successful your marketing efforts are. This data forms the basis for informed decisions regarding your product range, pricing, and promotions.
Prerequisites
Before using the Analytics functions, ensure that:
- You have successfully logged into the Corporate Admin
- You have administrator rights
- Your shop subscription includes Analytics features
- Visitor tracking is enabled in your shop
Why Analytics are important
Without data, you make decisions based on assumptions. With Analytics, you can:
- Identify trends - See how visitor numbers and orders develop over time
- Identify problems - Recognize where customers abandon the ordering process
- Measure success - Evaluate which marketing measures actually deliver results
- Optimize product range - Understand which products are in demand and which are not
- Allocate resources effectively - Invest your time and budget in the most effective measures
The Analytics Dashboard
When you open the Analytics section, you will see a dashboard with the most important key figures at a glance. The dashboard is divided into several areas:
Select time period
At the top of the page, you can define the analysis period:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Today | Data for the current day |
| Last 7 Days | Current week compared to the previous week |
| Last 30 Days | Current month compared to the previous month |
| Last 90 Days | Current quarter |
| Custom | Choose any start and end period |
Tip: Use the comparison period to identify trends. If visitor numbers increase compared to the previous month, your measures are on the right track.
Visitor Tracking
Visitor numbers
The visitor statistics show you how many people have visited your shop within a specific period:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Visitors (Unique Visitors) | Number of individual people who have visited your shop (each visitor is counted only once) |
| Page Views | Total number of all pages viewed (a visitor can view multiple pages) |
| Sessions | Number of individual visits (a visitor can have multiple sessions) |
| Pages per Session | Average number of pages a visitor views per visit |
| Average Session Duration | How long a visitor stays in your shop on average |
Reading the chart
The visitor chart shows the development of visitor numbers as a line or bar chart. You can switch between different views:
- Daily view - Ideal for short periods (7-30 days)
- Weekly view - Ideal for medium periods (30-90 days)
- Monthly view - Ideal for long periods (quarter, year)
What visitor numbers tell you
- Steadily increasing visitor numbers - Your marketing efforts are working and attracting new visitors
- Regular peaks - If visitor numbers increase on certain days (e.g., after a newsletter dispatch), this shows the success of that measure
- Decline in visitor numbers - Possible causes: less active marketing, seasonal fluctuations, technical problems
- High page views with few visitors - Your customers are browsing your product range extensively (positive)
